Where applicable, information may also be processed to take steps at your request, perform an agreed service, meet a legal obligation, prevent fraud or protect legitimate business and security interests.

Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links or integrations involving services such as WhatsApp, social media platforms, map services, payment providers, embedded media or external websites.

When you open or use a third-party service, that provider may collect information according to its own privacy policy, terms and technical practices. Bera Software does not control the independent privacy practices of those providers.

We recommend reviewing the applicable third-party privacy policy before submitting personal or payment information through an external platform.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies required for security, basic functionality, preferences and performance measurement.

If analytics or advertising tools are enabled, they may collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, device information, interaction events and referral source. Where required, appropriate notice or consent controls will be provided.

You can manage or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking some necessary cookies may affect certain website functions.

08

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including enquiry follow-up, project delivery, support, accounting, dispute resolution and legal compliance.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information, whether a business relationship was created and whether the information must be preserved under applicable law.

When information is no longer required, we may securely delete, anonymise or restrict access to it, subject to legal and legitimate record-keeping requirements.

09

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information from unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure or loss.

These measures may include access restrictions, secure connections, account controls, backups and responsible handling procedures.

No website, communication channel or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should avoid sending passwords, banking credentials or other highly sensitive information through ordinary enquiry forms or messaging channels.

  • Deletion of eligible personal information
  • Withdrawal of consent for future consent-based processing
  • Clarification about how your information has been used or shared

Certain information may be retained where required for legal compliance, payment records, dispute resolution, security or the establishment and defence of legal claims.

11

Children’s Privacy

Our website and business services are intended for adults and organisations. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from individuals below 18 years of age through this website.

If you believe that a child has submitted personal information without appropriate parent or guardian involvement, please contact us so that we can review and take suitable action.

12

Websites Created for Clients

Bera Software designs and develops websites for independent clients. The client remains responsible for determining what personal information their website collects, why it is collected and which privacy notices, permissions or compliance measures are required for their business.

A client-owned website is governed by that client’s own privacy policy. This Bera Software Privacy Policy does not automatically cover information submitted directly to a client’s website.

Where we temporarily access client website information for maintenance or technical support, we will use that access only for the authorised service.

13

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, technology or legal obligations change.

The revised policy will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through an appropriate notice where reasonably necessary.
